By offering foodstuffs to the Supreme we develop a close relationship with Him. The fruits or foodstuffs should be offered fresh and should be in the mode of goodness. They can be taking away after a few minutes.

In the Buddha religion they do not unto any idol anything. This is a western misconception of Buddha.
Some one may offer some good fruit, some pleasant fruit, as fresh as can be, their best fruit as an offering to their ancestors in favor of receiving some good karma to both the giver and the receiver. In the universal cosmic karma they believe that even a thought is a ripple and there fore an effect will result, this is one of those things.
Other Asian Gods are in most cases the epistemological basis of a cult, which attempts cure through meditation, and the features of the ritual as they contribute to its per-formative efficacy, include such rituals such as placing fruit "food" at the feet of their Deity.

Alot of Religions/Cultures give something as an offering to their gods. To the religious it shows their god/gods that they are honoring them in hopes that their god/gods will bring peace and hope to their lives.

Without playing games, don’t be available 100% of the time or let your life be an open book. A man that comes on too strong or doesn’t have outside interests will scare a woman away just as much as it would if the circumstances were reversed. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?Wk81
Women don’t want to feel as though they are completely responsible for your happiness and that is what it feels like when the other person has no outside interests. Men who are overeager or jump when the woman says jump are the ones who are more likely to end up in the friend zone. This doesn’t mean that you should play the game of not calling for a few days; it means that you should set healthy boundaries until you both naturally find a spot for the other in your lives.

Which cultures/religions in particular are you talking about? Buddhists do not worship idols. Your question is very broad.
