People call me Jesus' reincarnate... I thought it would only be appropriate and fitting if I followed in HIS footsteps.

I wouldn't actually kill myself. I was just wondering what society would call the act. Would it be insane? Would it be sac-religious? Would I be accepted into the great unknown? Or would i be sent to perish in the fiery pits of the other unknown? Please elaborate. It's for a project at my ccd class - preparing for confirmation.

No.
You're not perfect and you are not a "God-man" like Jesus. Therefore, you can't die for our sins. Besides, the Bible says that Jesus' sacrifice was final and to be done only once and for all, not to be repeated again. Therefore, it REALLY can't die for our sins.
Besides, He didn't kill Himself. He gave His own life for us and the Roman soldiers took it form Him when He did. That's not suicide. He was executed (unjustly by an illegal trial).

no, there is no need to die since Jesus already did that. not everything that he did we should do. such as turning water into wine or going out into the desert for forty days with no food or water. remember, he was all God and all human.
and you cannot be Jesus' reincarnate. that is just blasphemy
