What was your individual job in country? Do you still talk to friends you made there?

I seriously hope that this is a real question; ALL of us are a little suspicious after being SPAT on when we came back to the "WORLD"

I was in the NAVY Operations and Intelligence. I controlled helos and air strikes, served on an Admirals staff and spent a time in-country. I stopped counting at 22 KIA and learned how to pick leeches off of my body without infection.

I have one friend that exchanges Christmas cards with me, but WE DO NOT talk about that time in our lives; it is just in the past and why dig it up again?

Here is an intersting story that you can believe or not; I personally have a hard time with it because it goes against ALL odds and is just to weird to be true.

I will make it short.. I beat cancer this last year and my doctor was Vietnamese.

In short she thought that I was the guy that carried her through the jungle for two days to a safe village; it was a story that her mother had told her and I denied.

The truth is that I DID carry a baby for two days, but there is NO WAY that she needed to know that.

She never mentiontioned it again and saved my arm. THIS is something out of the TWILIGHT ZONE and just TOO weird; play it forward kind of thing I guess.

I got back to the "WORLD", went to college and had a successful career in electronics. I traveled the world, walked TALL and am PROUD of my service.

So I hope that this answers you question.

Proved, as have the current crop of soldiers, that the United States lacks the will to win a war...

I was a dog handler. So they are your heroes.....well...they lost the war I'm sorry to tell you. They lost on 30th April 1975. Just so you know. And "NO" I don't talk to any of my military buddies. Just bad times from those years. What do we talk about? Losing????

I was a medic, and most of my friends are in a place you can't talk to them! You try not and make friends!
