It is maybe our last thread of connectiveness as animals, representing what we needed several millennia ago to survive.

Nowadays we are so disconnected that trageties like 9/11 happen.

I don't know, but I just want to say that, at the moment I read this question, I actually yawned. It truly happened which is fascinating.

I watched a show once on tv and it said that it is the human's way of being empathetic towards others. Pretty interesting!
