well i have piercings so i know a bit aobout keloids. as you may know they are overgrowths of scar tissue. they may need to be surgically removed. but you can develop keliod swith piercings. and what i hear works to minimize the appearance and rare cases get rid of them alltogether is to use some tea tree oil or hot water compresses,,

Sea salt soak = dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 1 cup (8 oz.) of water. Only non-iodized sea salt should be used. Should be rinsed over and inside any piercing or applied with a saturated cotton ball or swab. Mixing this solution too strong can burn the skin, only 1/4 teaspoon should be used. Can be done 2-4 times a day. Test for sensitivity by making a mixture and swabbing a little of it on your skin near but not on the piercing, wait at least an hour and if no symptoms occur its probably good.
higher quality jewlery

It's a scar. Removing it at home will most likely make it worse. I'm not even sure dermatologists can remove them. I have one on my shoulder from a deep cut. It gradually keeps getting bigger. And I have a cut on my wrist that started to do it when it was healing.
I suggest using Mederma. You can buy it at any drugstore. It's stopped my shoulder keloid from growing, and kept the wrist scar from starting.

Bad idea, even if there are...think about why you get keloids...removing one could result in a bigger keloid. Best thing to do is consult a doctor and possibly leave them alone.

There really is no cure other than surgery which could result in more keloid scarring. There is a product called bio-oil which is reported to reduce the appearance of scars.
