My tiel is going through this right now. When she laid her forth she took them all out of the makeshift nest I gave her. I put them back and she laid a 5th egg. I have been reading on what to do, she is now laying on 5 eggs. The cycle needs to stop, because she can become very ill and continue the process of laying so I am following the advice of the site. The advice it says is not public domain, but here is the link. I took her in and she is not at all trained, but we will work on that after this is over. One you click on the link go to FAQ's, it is now the first one, single female laying eggs. Good Luck my other tiel is wonderful!

This is not normal and in fact can seriously harm your bird. If you keep pulling out the eggs, you need to leave them for a while and let the bird build up a clutch. They will then stop. The clutch size will depend on your bird. Once you see a certain amount of eggs and the bird has stopped laying more for 3 or 4 days, let the bird sit on them for a week or so and then remove the eggs. I am guessing the bird is laying on the bottom of the cage or in a feed cup. If you have a box in the cage all you have to do is remove the box. A single bird does not need a nesting place. If you have some sort of thing that the bird thinks is a nest you need to remove that too.

Birds in the natural only lay eggs once a year. But they do it with a male and they are fertilized. I am guessing you have a single female bird.
