I feel for...I don't have dental insurance and in the past I've had to cope with a toothache for much longer than any sane person would allow themselves to. Nonetheless, I have tried every single remedy and suggestion that has ever been given to me. Here are a few that work okay:

1) Baby aspirin, let it dissolve on the tooth and surrounding area, may have to do 2 of them.

2) Salt, put a heaping nasty large amount on the area and let it sit.

3) Clove oil, or just cloves if that's all you have, just apply it to the area and let it sit. (Very unpleasant taste! But has a numbing effect.)

4) Baby's Nightime Orajel.

5) The pasty gel form of Orajel Max. strength, glob it on and it really will help!

My thoughts are with you! Be sure to take Advil it helps take the edge off!

I had an abcess that lasted several mo's, several yrs. ago; The Following is the only thing that helped me: I swished Very Cold Buttermilk - inside my mouth; it Hurt on top of the already HURTING; but all of a sudden ALL THE pain went away./ I suffered several mo's with that Terrible tooth-ache, because I couldn't afford a root-canal, etc. and did not want to have that tooth pulled.---therefore I suffered several mo's! note: that was one tooth that was out quicker than usual WHEN I FINALLY did get it extracted! and it never hurt Again AND I did not even have to take the pain pills AFTER it was pulled! BEst Wishes;\\
also, i've read that U can put several drops of Hot stuff like:
Tabasco Sauce in water and drink it. I think Tabasco sauce and hot peppers contain: "capasin" (not sure if spelled correctly);---NOTE: BUT later i read that too much hot sauce might cause Cancer or other ailments?.

I have a snapped tooth and some cavities. They hurt when fragment of food get stuck inside because this stimulates the nerves.

You should get some warm, but not hot water and swish this around your mouth for about 3-4 minutes moderately violently until it dislodges the object.

Then you will need some mount wash. DO NOT swallow the mount wash.

this sounds not too good for you, possible root canal? get some clove (the spice) mash it up add very little water to make a paste, if there's a hole in your tooth, gently push it in there, tastes terrible but it may help, or try Colgate sensitivity toothpaste, or gel-kam-you can find it at your drugstore or wal-mart, and get to a dentist ASAP. Oh yeah, take Motrin for pain, I alawys tell folks I don't know to check with their doc.

Rinse your mouth with very cold water and/or put a bag of ice (or anything cold) on your cheek on the side of the painful tooth, this will eliminate the pain instantly.

Pain killers like Aspirin and Panadol are effective as well.

Orajel. Works like a charm. Find it at any drug store.

Or the classic... Whiskey.

Put some whiskey over the tooth.

Pain be gone.

If you can get to the drugstore- get AMBESOL it is in the baby section and it is for teething- it actually numbs the gums. If not, do the old wive's remedy- rub liquor on the gum-- and maybe have a few swigs for the pain................seriously, it works.
