We use Switched on Schoolhouse for bible, language arts, science, and math. We are about to start the Story of the World for history because I didn't care for the history on SOS. We read daily from a chronological bible and work on handwriting with copy work for about 30 minutes a day. In addition we learn life skills with chores and household projects. We take field trips to the museums, NASA, and the zoo a few times during the year and during the summer we are part of an activity group that does something every week. My son is in the church chior, goes to AWANAs everyweek, and joined a basketball team a few months ago. We tried guitar for 2 months, but his hand muscles just weren't ready so we are going to do piano as soon as I can order a book.

In the Morning my mother gives me work out of books and then we read the history lesson together and talk about it. In the afternoon I do the work out of textbooks. (math, science, art history, practical arts, spelling, and literature) on Mondays a friend and I get together and go to a teacher's house for Spanish lessons. On Thursdays we get together and my mother teaches us Geology and her mother teaches us Art History. They both give us homework for the following week. Oh, I'm in 7th grade.

I am not sure what you are asking. If you are asking what books a hs'ed student studies and learns from, each family chooses that themselves. There is a HUGE selection of material to choose from to suit every budget and learning style.
