Everyone is always saying that something is the cat's meow! Does that mean it's important ir what? Cause,I know to a cat,it's meow is very important,so what does it mean?

Hi there...Cat's meow means it is something considered to be outstanding. The phrase was coined by American cartoonist Thomas a. Dorgan (1877-1929) whose work appears in many American newspapers.

It's a slang term that originated around the 1920's. It's like saying something is awesome or cool.
