Conceivably, God (if he existed) could have made humans able to procreate without sex, and materialize a child whenever it was needed by a loving couple or have it shipped via stork.

Bizarre to say, I know, but to religious people who say there are all these sinful things about and related to sex, and speak of sex as a necessary evil in order to perpetuate the species, when sex isn't really *necessary* (presuming God exists), considering the omnipotence of God.

Also it has been proven many times that humans need physical contact with other humans for psychological, emotional and even physical wellness.

it is the sole method by which humankind can continue the species in the absence of practical cloning or artificial birthing which remains the realm of science fiction. our general obsession with it is a survival mechanism as a species to ensure that the members of the species are involved in sex to continue that species.

however in my opinion there should've been a slowdown mechanism at 6 billion. but where's the fun in that.

Its not important at all.Its all just for recreation now. baby's are created now by the space aliens on there ships after the sperm and women's ovaries are taken from humans.and then grown in cabbage patch's by farmers who go along with them because there paid in diamonds.the aliens feel this is a much better way for us.we must trust them as there our ancestors and should know best.President Bush was made this way.and you can see for yourself the advantages in this method of reproduction!I absolutely LOVE your eyes by the way.

Because as humans our bodies need sex for us to. . . function properly, if we don't have sex then our bodies will crave it to a point were . . . . (i guess this is a good way of putting it) Hump anything that moves :)

doctors actually say that the things a human body need to stay healthy are:

Sex,
Sleep,
Healthy organic foods,
and exorcise.

Without those things our bodies will suffer greatly.
