I really want to help, not only in my community but in poor countries and towns. I don't want to just send a check, I want to actually do something like care packages or something. Does anyone have any sites of orphanages ore something?????

I think this is a great idea and you are on the right track honey. With all the celebrities focusing on the third world countries, I would set your sites on your own backyard. Your efforts, unless monopolized or merged with a huge movement, will be better received by those who really need it. And orphanages are a great place to start. There are quite a few that give each foster child/orphan a care package, but these care packages are far and few between. For some kids, the thought of having your own blanket, your own hairbrush, even something as small as a toothbrush can give them a sense of security. So get together with some friends, pass out flyers, talk to you local stores for donations and put together little care packages. (Just think of what you would need if you were to go camping for a weekend...easy point of reference) Then contact your local social services and they will tell you exactly where to distribute them.

we favor to get the authorities out of the organization of meddling in well being care, which change into some distance extra inexpensive and accessible earlier authorities were given in touch with Medicaid and Medicare. short of that, and extra politically achievable contained in the prompt run, is to allow customers and their docs to pull themselves out of the device by medical lower price prices debts. We’ve had managed care in this usa because the early 1970s, and it hasn’t worked nicely. It’s very, very extreme priced, and it’s the fault that we replaced our ERISA regulation and our tax guidelines that created this corporatism that runs drugs. Wall street rakes off the income. The sufferers are unhappy. The docs are unhappy. And it’s a monopoly now. Who lobbies us in Washington? The drug organizations and the HMOs. they arrive. And now what's the cry for? Socialized drugs. That’s not the answer. we favor to get the authorities out of ways. Inflation hits the middle type and the undesirable the most. those are the human beings who're dropping it. We don’t have sufficient competition. There’s a doctor monopoly obtainable. we desire decision well being care freely accessible to the human beings. they must be able to make their own possibilities and in no way managed by the FDA scuffling with them to apply a number of the drugs that could help with there diseases even as the drugs we do have accessible do not artwork or the remedies are too extreme priced. and that i comprehend that we favor to assist the undesirable the most by this. So get rid of the overseas guidelines that are draining us (Iraq, protection stress bases global huge, our imperialistic nature) and use that money shall we be saving in the route of our the debt that our undesirable sufferers can't pay to the docs that help them.

They can put you in contact with various affiliated agencies in the USA and throughout the world that may be able to help you with placement of your donations. They can help you find volunteer opportunities in your local area as well, or refer you to other partner agencies.

Good luck!
