Lay on your side with both legs extended fully. Lift the top leg about 3 inches off the other one and kick forward and as far back as you can while keeping it controlled. Also in same posistion kick top leg up toward upper body and then back down to 3 inches above bottom leg. Switch sides and do the same. Then do some squats. Then get in the pool and hold onto the side and kick your legs. Also put ankle weights on and do jumping jacks in the pool.

Lunges will definitely help tone your legs, if you're looking for that. Stand upright, feet are shoulder length apart, medium weights in each hand, and slowly lunge foreward a good 2 1/2 feet or so. When you lunge forward, tighten your abs and that'll also help you out. Focus on being slow and steady, upright and tight (when lunged out). Slowly bring it back in. A good three sets of alternating legs with 20 total reps in each set will help a good bit.

scissors- lay on the floor and criss cross your legs. great for inner thighs and stomach muscles.another one is to lay on your side and lift leg in 15 repetitions for each side .It tones your outer thighs.

The second you can use "ankle weights" & " plastic containers - half gal. / Gal. milk jugs filled with water or sand (start off lite).
