I got a new digital camera and looked everywhere but can't find digital film
Finally, some Vietnamese convenience store owner sold me 12 rolls of regular Kodak film. He assured me that digital cameras can use any kind of film.
Now I can't find how to load the camera and I'm out $73.
Please HELP.

The Vietmamese guy was right. Just use any film in your digital camera. He only wants to help you.
Vietmamese people are smart.

Viet Tofu was right. Vietnamese people are generally smart, and luckily enough, this man knew exactly what he was talking about! What luck that you'd find someone with such knowledge on today's fast-moving technology. Personally, I found that my digital camera works better with Fuji "digital film." I'd go back to the Vietnamese man and buy some more film. Lots of film.

Rule #1: Don't ask convience store workers about digital cameras.

That Vietnamese store owner ripped you off. If you have a digital camera they use Memory Cards to store information. These cards are small and the physical size does not determine the amount of pictures the card can carry. In fact, depending on how the camera is setup you can change the amount of pictures by increasing (more information per picture - less pictures on card) or decreasing (less information per picture - more pictures on card) the quality and size of the picture you are taking.

The brand and model number of your camera is needed for anyone to be able to tell you what memory card is needed. You may be able to find out the type on http://www.dpreview.com.
Select your manufacturer (if it is there) and find the model camera you own. There should be a large amount of information regarding your camera. You can also find out what kind of card your camera takes by reading the manual that came with your camera.

There are many types of memory cards and numerous sizes you can purchase each type in.
Some types are:
Smart Media (older cards that are no longer being manufactured)
CF cards (Compact Flash)
SD cards (Secure Digital)
xD cards
Memory Stick (Sony's special cards)
Many, many more types. Please follow the link bellow for more information on memory cards.

Sizes are in MB (megabytes = 1,000,000 bytes)
They are typically (I will only list the sizes that are easy to find):
64mb, 128mb, 256mb, 512mb, 1gig, 2gig, ... up to 8gig now.
(Gigs are Gigabytes which is 1,000 megabytes)

For you I recommend perhaps 128mb to maybe 512mb. 1gig cards can be expensive (although not so much anymore). Unless you have a very high quality camera with high megapixels you won't likely need the larger mb cards.

You can fit anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand pictures on one card! You can keep or delete any of this pictures whenever you want. You can delete one at a time or all of them at once. You can take the cards to your local Walmart or Walgreens or Costco (and many other places that develop film) and print as few or as many pictures you want in as many different physical sizes you want with as many copies as you want.

For more information about digital cameras you should find a store near you that sells them and try to ask them for information. You can of course always ask for help here too.
