I feel I have a decent voice, but my problem is that I have a break in my voice between the low and high notes, that is, my voice sounds different when singing low, than when singing higher, with a noticible break when I change between the higher and lower notes. Anyone know how to fix this? I don't know which "sound" is the right one. my higer register is prettier but too soft, and my lower register is nice and loud but not as pretty sounding.

Try singing through your diaphragm.

We are in the music industry.. and too many people think they have good or bad voices... or some flaws.. but it is best to get a singing coach... and not self analize while receiving the right training.. it usually costs 85 dollars a month and that is for four lessons. Try out a month with a good vocal teacher in your area. If you are truly serious about your gift then be serious.

That is very common- I think you should try to make the best quality sound first, try to mimic the higher range but sing in the lower range, you can always make it add volume by practicing good vocal techniques such as proper posture, good air support, using you're diaphram. Volume is nothing more then faster air speed.

Your high register is your falsetto. A smooth transition takes practice, that's all. Once you learn to control your diaphragm muscles, you can fine tune your voice and even bring a little viabrato into it. Practice, practice, practice. It's in the stomach muscles.

The would be the break in your voice. Everyone starts out with a big one and it takes alot of work to improve your range and fill the gaps.
