well they will make you feel like you have to get stuff done quickly by being pushy, but you don't have to do it when they say . you are not in yet! and it's volunteer. so if they want you they do it on your schedule. i told my husband that 100 times and they still rushed him through at the end of the day and he got stuck with the wrong job becasue his recruiter didn't go over the stuff with him, she just dropped him off to sign his papers. so, stand your ground. they need and want you....do it on your time. becasue once you sign, you are theirs all the time!

The ASVAB is not anything to fear approximately. If you graduated prime university you'll cross the ASVAB. Your rating at the ASVAB is helping investigate what variety of process you'll get within the provider. However within the Marines, there don't seem to be a entire lot of jobs to opt for from so I would not sweat it an excessive amount of. It isn't like taking the SATs or ACTs. It simply covers fundamental stuff. As for MEPS, it is only a giant bodily. It intimidates each person, however it's relatively not anything greater than a giant bodily.

Most of the time your recruiter can figure something out for you. Did your recruiter already schedule that day for you to go? I didn't go to meps the next day I actually went a few weeks later so I can't imagine it being a problem.

You need to keep in mind that until you sign the papers you still belong to you and you choose when and if you go to meps. They will try to tell you that you don't have a choice in a lot of things but if just refuse to do it their way what can they do? Nothing, but they try to get you used to doing what your told. My husband joined as a young man got screwed over then after being in for a few years and learning how things work he talked to his friend who was joining and told him what he learned and his friend got put in at E-3 pay, choice of duty station after basic and only enlisted for 3 years not 4. Just say no until you sign the papers.

I don't think so. I took the ASVAB way before I went through the meps ordeal.

havent you worked this out with your recruiter yet..??? tell him what schedule you want..as far as i know, you dont have to report to meps until you are ready to actually do some signing or physical tests....recruiter should guide you through all this...and its good to get your folks involved if you can, they might give you a little more adult view on what you should be looking for as far as joining the military...good luck and thanks for serving..god bless you..
