I used to belong to this church that would constantly harp on you to attend the business meetings and in this denomination they do 1 per quarter 4X a year, they would be on you like a nit on a hair follicle to attend.

Yet this same church could not find time or make it a proirity to have felowship, coffee house care groups or cell groups, and when they had to cancel such events they never rescheduled, and the rare times they did have these events were few and far between,

I find this to be very wrong and unsettling? Do you feel there is something wrong with this picture?

It looks like the church was more interested in turning a profit than saving anyone's soul. I'm sure the preacher gave plenty of "money" sermons in your old church. Perhaps they are hoping to be a mega-church like Joel Osteen's. Did the preacher preach nothing but positive things to the congregation?

Yes, it is unsettling and unfortunately all too common today.

I think this is merely typical for religions all over the world. sad but true.
