Greek Isle in Charlotte, NC. Located on Bland Street. The flaming cheese, the cold pikilia tray for appetizers. There are several different spreads served with warm pitas. As for entree's I have had several and it is hard to recommend one over the other because they were all good. I have had the lamb chops, a chicken dish, the gyro, and I have gotten the sample dinner entree. I would suggest that because it gives you a little of everything. It has pototao, stuffed grape leaves, gyro, moussaka and spanakopita. It is a fun place for family as well as a romantic place just for the two of you.
Now for my home town, Pittsburgh, PA go to the Strip District on Saturday morning. First get there early and have breakfast at deluca's. Go with a huge appetite at Deluca's. My husband like the breakfast burrito with hot sausage and I like the banana choc chip pancakes with bacon and potatoes. Then shop the strip at Penn Mac for cheese and lunch meat and bread. Then go to Prestogeorge for more cheese and bread. Then go to Wholeys for seafood and take this to your hotel and have a romantic finger food dinner at your hotel. You can also get some really great biscotta and pastries at Enricos. If you get hungry late at night go back to the strip and get yourself a peppis steak hoagie. Try the big wheeler it has both steak and hot sausage on it. You can also stop here for lunch too.
Good Luck and have fun.

In Cleveland, Ohio the best restaurant is Bruno's on W.41st and Cloud off I-90 near Lakewood. It is Italian and small. Prices range from $10-$20. Their house dressing is awesome. They also have the best red sauce. I love their Aglio y Olio and Stuffed Eggplant. Their portions are huge. Their deserts are awesome too. I haven't eaten anything there that isn't a 10. They make their own noodles. Eat is just like eating in an Italian home. Another great Italian restaurant is on the East Side, Gavi's. It is in downtown Willoughby. I always get the Stuffed Eggplant, it's an appetizer, but it fills me up. Almost everything on their menu is meat, so I haven't tried anything else there. The restaurants in Little Italy here suck. Pizazz is another great restaurant on the East Side, they're next to the college John Carroll. Que Tal and Luchitas are the best mexican restaurants. Que Tal is in Coventry on Coventry (East Side) and the best Luchitas is on 117th near Lorain Rd. There are three of them in Cleveland, but that one is the original and the best. They don't open until 5 and get there by 7 or there isn't anywhere to sit. If you do visit Cleveland, for night life go the the Warehouse District on W. 6th and St. Clair. downtown. There are some really good, but expensive restaurants down there, Metropolitan and Blue Point (where stars go when they are in town). Dress accordingly. Gotta see the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame (downtown), it's awesome! Sounds weird perhaps but Lakeview cemetary is absolutely magnificent and you must get there before 5. The Art Museum is free and is beautiful open Tue-Sun 9-5. There is also a bio-garden museum, that I have yet to visit, it's new and across the street. The museums are next to Little Italy, Lakeview and Coventry. Pier W in Lakewood is pricey, seafood and best view!

"R Place" in Morris, IL
Home of the "Ethyl" Burger!
Here's a review I found online:
Item: R Place Restaurant
Location: 21 Romines Drive, Morris, IL
by Lorianna
Review: R Place Restaurant at 21 Romines Drive, Morris, IL is a fancy truckstop decorated in a historical style. I was rather surprised to see their vast collection of antiques when I first walked in - Americana, toys, puppets probably worth several hundred dollars each - not something you would normally expect to see in a truck stop. All the time we waited for our order I sat looking around, enjoying the décor. My husband told me about the major attraction of R Place - their famous Ethyl burger. Ethyl is not just big, it is huge: 4 pounds. Yes, FOUR POUNDS - and if you eat it all, it is free! R Place has a picture board of those who had “tried and died” - couldn’t finish the burger and therefore had to pay. There is also a much smaller board of those who survived!! I spent some time looking at those heroes; you probably won’t believe me, but there was a 13 year old kid among them!
Well, neither my husband nor myself felt brave enough to try Ethyl. We opted for a regular meal, which was very good, although a little pricey. R Place, although a truck stop, is known as a family restaurant serving home style food. It also has a bakery, gift shop, and convenience store. The restaurant is open 24 hours. Their website is rplaceromines.com/

Chains have continuously had a hard time relocating into the Northeast due to the fact that we have plenty of victorious unbiased firms. We aren't just like the relaxation of the country, so corporations that do well within the relaxation of the nation don't always do good here. Most of the country thinks that pink Lobster is sort of a Maine seafood condo and Olive backyard is quality Italian eating.

In Warrensburg, near where I live, there's a great Thai restaurant called Siam; they serve both Thai and some Chinese food, and if you're a vegetarian, they can make any dish with tofu instead of meat. A good meal there, including drinks, would run about $20 each, but it's worth it. I personally love the roast duck with jasmine rice, with fresh rolls (grilled chicken and raw veggies rolled in a wonton wrap) and Thai coffee or tea (very sweet, but good). And don't forget to ask for peanut sauce...they make it themselves!
Watch out, though...the restaurant is located in what used to be a house, right on 13 Highway, and parking can be a little dicey.
Check on the website for the Warrensburg Area Chamber of Commerce for more details.

Gertrude's in Old Colorado Springs, CO is a wonderful place. Their Sunday brunch is so good I have trouble deciding on just one thing to order. They have the best veggie burger I've ever eaten (but are not totally a veg restaurant) and the hummus is awesome! Breakfast/brunch and lunch are reasonably priced. Dinner is a little more expensive. Make sure to get reservations, as there is usually a line out the door.

If you ever go to New Hampshire, and are going up Interstate 93. It's a mini chain. It's only in NH though and its AWESOME. The layout and look is really unique, it has a very casual area, and then a very nice setup for dinner.
The original Restaurant is called "Common Man" and it is located in Lincoln, Ashland, Concord, Merrimack and Windham New Hampshire.
Then they have two other types of restaurants own by thje same company. Their italian one is "Italian Farmhouse" in Plymouth, NH has the best Cioppino!
And lastly there is "Fosters Boiler Room" located in Plymouth, NH which is a "pub-style menu of light fare and unique dishes"

Imperial Fez in the Buckhead area of Atlanta Ga. It is one of the top 50 restaurants in America and is (unfortunately) very expensive. The food is exquisite Moroccan and is served in a traditional style at small tables on the floor with cushions. The price for two would be minimally 100 dollars. Belly dancing floor show at 8 pm. Superb food!!!!!! Consider it your entire evening plans and stay for several hours. Order the entire 6 course dinners, I liked Bastilla, lamb tangine and also Cornish game hen dishes. Went with party of 4 people and bill was 330.00 with tip however and no alcohol!!, so only if you can afford it. Went again with wife and bill was 125.00 with tip/no alcohol.
Consider if you are in Atlanta trying Tamarind Thai restaurant Downtown Atlanta, Also great food, but much less expensive than above. I had excellent masaman curry, made from scratch not paste. Cost at lunch for two was 35.00, at dinner was 95.00
Canoe is in NW Atlanta and is excellent and romantic and on the river and has a wide variety of foods from traditional to exotic. I had ostrich medallions in a cream sauce and it was great also served with a multitude of homemade breads, sat outside in gardens next to river and had an excellent time. Cost was 95.00 for two and well worth it!
Consider Athens Pizza Kouzzina on Pleasant Hill in Atlanta, Excellent Greek with low-moderate prices. I love the Gyros, souvlaki, moussaka, and pizza is also good. price for 2 is 25-40 dollars
Good Luck!

The Horn of Plenty in Island Falls, ME is a good if you're into out of the way places. The prices aren't that bad, either, No meal is over $20.00. I would recommend:
Chicken Salad Sandwinch (Summer only)
Chourice and Pepper Omelette
Hawaiian BBQ Chicken (Summer Only)
All soups, which are completely made from scratch.
Potato Skins
Also, even though I don't like seafood, the Seafood Tetrazini is very popular.
