The top of the candy bar is actually the bottom.

Like an ice cube tray, it is filled with caramel, then covered with a smoothe layer of chocolate, left to cool, then flipped upside down.

If you look at each section of the candy bar, the logo is stamped there. Its embossed into the mould's bottom.

Unwrap a caramilk bar, flip it upside down, and it will suddenly make sense.

Chemistry. You'd be surprised how much Chemistry is involved in food production.

A friend of mine was working on areosol spray BBQ sauce and there are so many factors you have to be aware of and then you have to live with some things, like consitence, taste, etc.

But if you look on the label you'll see how many chemicals are in that candy and some chemist and some cook worked together and either MADE it that way (with special chemicals) or it simply had to be taht way.
