Shouldn't have to be an electronic genius to figure these things out, you know?

The batteries that came w/ the Kodak camera are of the disposable alkaline type. Don't recharge those.

If you bought the accessory kit, you probably got one of those special rechargeable packs. It should've come w/ a charger unit. Just pop the battery into the charger and let it do its thing. And buy an extra battery pack and charge that up as a backup.

If you want to go the rechargeable route w/o buying the special packs, buy one of those rechargeable NiMH sets sold by Duracell, Energizer, and others. Get the ones that can output at least 2500 mAh. And get a quick charger, so you don't have to wait long for a fully charged set.

Or keep a stock of those lithium ion batteries, the high performance ones. Not great for the environment, but at least you don't have to worry about popping in discharged rechargeables for those Kodak moments.

You have to take the batterys out and put them in a charger but make sure they are re-chargables
My kodak never came with charger ,had to buy a kodak one separate.

Get the accessory kit (see below). Don't try to recharge the batteries that came with the camera as alkalines have a tendency to explode when recharged.
