In California... are you eligible for jury duty when you turn 18 or when you get your license? My friend thinks license, but I thought you had to be an adult!

Your drivers license is irrelevant. You are eligible for jury duty when you are 18. The DMV list is just one of several that the jury commissioner uses to summon jurors. Voter registration, ID cards, and sometimes telephone listings are also used, among other lists.

When you are 18 you are considered an adult. You have to be a adult to be called for Jury duty.

Most states poll prospective jurors from registered voters. Check California law.
