Not to long ago I posted a question cause I tought it would be useful instead I got all this answers that were rude and a waist of time. Don't get me wrong their were some good ones too. If you have nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all. Calling me tacky and classless makes you the same way.

I know!!! It annoys me sooo much! i mean, i post a question, and every single time I get at least one answer that is rude and tacky or just a waste of time to be reading. It pisses me off soooo bad, I'm not kidding. So I definitely see what you mean, these people just want the 2 points.

Don't take it personally. People are trying to help you out by answering a question you asked them to answer.
And be greatful, because if this many strangers feel so opposed to the question you asked, then they have just given you a glimpse of how your family and friends may feel.
And think of it this way, they probably aren't saying YOU are classless and tacky, they may be saying that your question or idea is.
Secondly, if you didn't want anyone to say anything at all, then maybe you shouldn't have asked the question in the first place. I'm certain they were just trying to help you out. However, they may have tried to reword their response in a less offensive way.
I'm quite sorry that you were offended by people who were trying to help you out by answering your question! And if any were exceptionall rude, then blow it off, they are probably jerks in life anyway, and why waste your time on them!

Well dear, this is why there is the abuse button all you have to do is click on it and report abuse, under offending other participants, and problem solved!!
On the other hand it is so incredibly full of nasty, nasty attitudes people carry, you know? This world has gotten that way. I'd say, don't let it get to you, I've gotten some very, very, nasty answers, like really unbelievable and uncalled for, and sometimes Yahoo took care of it and some other ones didn't, what can you do, there are very sick and low people in the world, they have no idea what being courteous, or sensitive mean, because they are mean spirited, they carry lots of poison, grudges, and nasty inside, so some how they have to spew it, and it ends up spilling here. Yes, it is absolutely necessary for people to be rude in answering questions, but sometimes rudeness can bring out the true solution to your problem. Say, if the question is about a relationship, they might provide a harsh way of resolving it that you would have never thought of before. This is exactly why on Yahoo Answers you need to have an open mind and let the rude answers come. Hey, maybe they will help you out. On the other hand........some people are pretty big jerks, but that's in every day life, not just on Yahoo Answers.

I think your original question was about how to ask wedding guests for $ instead of gifts... I'm in the same boat.. my other half and I are finally getting married after 10 yrs. we have everything for our home. we would like to use the gifted $ for the honeymoon instead. But there is no good way to say this to people because we aren't supposed to expect gifts we are to be greatful to receive them. It's a touchy question.

Some people are just rude like that. These are the same folks you will see yelling at a waitress in a restaurant, or shaking their fist at you in traffic. That is their own personal shortcoming and not something you should trouble yourself over.

Some people are jerks and only do the answers for a "high score" they say ANYTHING that comes to their mind just for that. I, however, answer because I want to help. I love to help people...at least, attempt to. Im sorry for all the morons who've bothered ya...Ive only asked 2 questions and have had some ignorant responses.................oh well, i guess. =)

sorry you are wrong, this is yahoo answers, and if you ask a question, you get answers , maybe not the one you wanted, but you get opinions, weather you agree or not. so if you can not deal with the rude then do not ask questions, some times some people need to be jerked out of their little world
