Remember "the horse of a different color" from the movie The Wizard of Oz? They used different colors of jello on the horses to make them appear to be all those great colors!
You will also see red jello on "newborn" babies in the movies, to create the appearance of birth fluids.

Pranking someone. Like setting their stuff in a jello mould. Friends of mine had their wedding rings set in a jello mould the night before the wedding. I DID NOT DO IT!!!
