The best way to stay fit and loose flab is to do cardio and exercise. Push ups and light weight bench pressing will help with your chest and give you more muscle definition. When benching to tone you should generally do whatever weight you can do about 15-20 times. If you can do it more than 20 times put more weight on it. There are different variations of benching that focus on different parts of your chest, i assume that you want to focus more so on the lower chest, so decline bench press would be the best. Do this every 2-3 days, so that you give your body time to heal. If you do not have access to a bench press, do pushups, there are also different variations of pushups and just like the bench they will focus on different parts of your chest. For your abs you should do leg lifts, which work more of your lower abs and sit ups which focus a little more on the upper abs. Remember that doing excersises will NOT get rid of all your fat, it will tone it up a little bit, and build muscle, which in turn burns fat, but it will not remove the large percentage of the fat, if you exersise these areas it will be easier to lose the fat, the best way to get more lean is by cardio, a min. of 20 min. a day. Your body starts to burn fat after around 20 min. Also cardio speeds up your metabolism so eventually the fat will come off easier. Do not eat more because you are hungry from working out, eat the same amount you do now. Try not to eat a lot of junk or suger. Do that and you'll see a difference after no time, remember things like this took time to build up, so they will also take time to get rid of, don't get discouraged, you will notice a difference after a short time, not a big one, but it will gradually happen.

a well-balanced diet, lots of water and exercise (sports is also a form of exercise)...start to go to gym and start by jogging 3-4 times a week.

go here to get flab off your chest http://www.askmen.com/sports/bodybuilding_150/156_fitness_tip.html

do crunches and (from my experience) running/jogging for your stomach.

or just running/jogging only 3-4 times a week for 30mins (if you can, you can do it daily for 30mins at least) helps since this will help to lose weight from the body overall.

-- speaking from experience--
above all you need to be dedicated. if you are not used to working out and stuff, i bet you will find it hard. at the beginning your body will refuse to listen to you so start with slow changes and gradually increase your exercise routine and improve your diet - don't expect to leave out junk food altogether and run 10km in the first week.

at first i couldn't even jog for 15mins non-stop. so i jogged for as long as i could and then stopped to do some stretching& breathing and then i'll jog again. i did this for 3mins every 3-4time a weeks. then slowly my body started to do more than 10mins of non-stop jogging. and then i started to jog daily and did it for 30mins straight. then i started to run, which i increased slowly and also longer. just 'play' with your body. get to know it and also make sure that your body will listen to you in the end.

as for diet, it is the same thing - make changes slowly yet gradually. eat 3 times a day. breakfast is a MUST and a LIGHTER dinner. i replaced snacks with fruits. i drank water before and after meals to prevent from over eating. i used smaller plates. had lots of water. i did not emit any food completely because our body needs all types of nutrient and minerals. just don't over eat and give your body what it needs - nutrients and minerals.

you will not see changes in your body rigthaway. it will take sometime. so don't give up or anything like that just becuase you can't see any changes wintin few days.

Good luck.

:-)
