People who tell lies about other people. What is in their minds?

Jealousy.Bad self image. Hidden agenda to get what they want. Just selfish pigs really who should be avoided at all costs. They are a menace to decent people.

People tell lies, because they think it will change the outcome of an event or actions of the other person. It could be self-serving or could be an attempt to not hurt the other person. It depends on the individual.

I think when people tell lies about other people its most likely to be malicious. Some do it because they want too show that they know everyone's business. Some are just jealous of what other ppl possess whether its materialistic or embodied.

They are just talking for the sake of talking. They think that making up lies is better than saying the quiet truth.

Many times when one has low self esteem, in order to make themselves appear better, they either brag about themselves or bring others down.
Lies and truths eventually come out in the wash and in the end it's these liars that look even worse than ever.

sometimes ppl lie about other ppl because their is so boring that they have nothing else to do besides making other ppl live a living heck. and/or because what the ppl who answered before me wrote.
