The price sounds a little high for a 20 year old car. But the SS's where limited addition cars. If it is in immaculate condition with all the original extras you could get, with those low miles, then price might be about right. It also depends on if you really like the car, in which case you are going to pay the price, but I think you should try and talk them down on the price a little.

aero coupe ... nice
hard to find, as others said check the body for any signs of bondo (magnet will work). They usualy rust above the rear wheels on the quarter panel, also under the doors on the rockers. Crawl under the car and look at the frame condition and see if there is major rust. If the miles are right and everything else is legit then the car sat for a long time so rust is your biggest enemy. Other question would be if you are buying this from a older person because sometimes the car will go cheaper then expected with nothing wrong.
Just make sure you drive the car make sure it runs and shifts good
have an 86 myself (not aero though)

The 86 Monte Carlo would NOT be a fuel injected car unless someone converted it.Good car, fun to drive...but not near as fast as the 78 Plymouth Fury that I had....which blew many 85-86 Monte Carlo's away. Just my two pennies worth. Good luck!

i think i would look into if it was a "write-off" or something like that, origional motor? that car is pretty rare, real nice lookin car too! another thing to make sure of, all those "g" body cars gm produced such as regals, monte's, cutlass, grandprix, all had rust issues with the section of frame that goes over the rear axle, some rusted to the point that they wouldn't pass safety regulations, also the bottom of the doors, make sure you check them to make sure they are solid.........they rot out bad. but if the paint and body have been done i'm sure the correct work would have been done.
good luck........sweet car.
i had a regal and i loved it, much like the ss but the ss is way nicer.

You sound like my kind of chick.
The price sounds about right...see if you can get under it to see if the front or back has been crumpled up....even if it was crashed, if it was repaired properly, it should be all good

Let me put it this way, if you decide to not buy it, hook me up with the seller. I'll buy it. Cash in hand right now. (No joke!)

If this car is as good as it sounds, it COULD bring more. Please don't use it as a daily driver!
