OH dear god...DO NOT SCRUB YOUR FACE WITH HOMEADE "EXFOLIATER" FOR 2-3 MINUTES! You will peel off every last layer of skin...oh my...and DO NOT apply honey to your skin...that is just a horrible mess waiting to happen, and honey does NOTHING beneficial for your skin...Milk also is not an appropriate cleanser for the skin.

When doing a facial you need to either exfoliate or use a mask, NOT BOTH!!

you will either dry your skin out or irritate it really badly by overworking it with the mask & exfoliator.

If you want to do a self facial lay out all of your skin care products, decide if you want to do a mask or exfoliate.

if you have a lot of black heads, exfoliate...if your skin is too oily or too dry do a mask that is appropriate for the problem.

It's a good idea to put some soothing music on so you can relax.

1. You want to wash your face and dab it dry with a soft wash cloth.

2. a. Apply your exfoliator in a circular motion until your face is completely covered. Concentrate on your t-zone.
OR!
b. Apply your mask in a circular motion until your face is completely covered.

3. With your middle finger dab eye cream under your eye (avoid putting anything on your upper eyelid)

4. Take a clean soft wash cloth and run it under water, Fold the washcloth caddy corner so you make a triangle with it, wrap the bottom of the washcloth at your chin and wrap the rest over your face so the two corners cover your eyes. If you exfoliated use cool water (even lukewarm water could irritate your fresh layer of skin), If you used a mask, use warm water.

5. Let the mask or exfoliater sit for 10 minutes.

6. Starting at the forehead wipe off either your exfoliator or your mask.

7. Take another clean soft wash cloth and get it wet and wash off the excess mask or exfoliater.

8. Apply your regular moisturizer in a circular motion starting at your forehead and working your way down.

9. Drink a bottle of water and stay relaxed!

DO NOT POP ANY PIMPLES RIGHT AFTER YOU DO YOUR FACIAL! It seems like the premo time to do it, but it's not. You will actually just spread the bacteria on your fresh clean skin and will have more break outs.

That's really about it, I do facials at my job almost everyday and that's all there is to it. If you have ever had a facial done it may seem like they are doing so much to your skin..but it's a whole lot of bs to kill time and convince you we've done so much for your skin. (i'm just being honest!)

A great exfoliator is Modern Friction from Origins, and they also have good masks for all different skin types.

I hope this helps you! Remember to do regular maitnence on your skin morning and evening to keep it in it's best shape.

Its easy.
Ingredients for the same
--------------------------------
Milk: 1/4 of a cup.
Apricot/sugar/pineapple scrub.(Any brand)
some face pack of any brand(cucumber, orange etc.,). Do not use a peel off. it hurts ur skin.

Steps:
---------
1. Wash ur face with luke warm water with soap or soem fack wash.
2. pat dry the face and spply milk on the face continuously for 5-7 minutes. give very simple upward strokes. clean the face with a wet tissue or water. Now cleansing is over.
3. spread the scrub on the face and neck and massage in circular motion in cheeks and upward movement in ur neck. do it for 2-3 minutes. Scrub always removes the dirt in the pores and penetrates deep into ur skin leaving it fresh.
4. wipe off the face with a wet tissue or wash it with luke warm water. mix the face pack with rose water if it is in powder form. if it is like a paste simply apply it on the face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. face packs need only time. it isnt necessary for them to get dried.
5. Do not use clay packs if u r young, like under 35 years. do not mix two different face packs and use them.
6. if u like the smell of honey, them after the scrub use honey on ur face and massage as mentioned earlier and then use the face pack.
7. at last wash the face with luke warm water. do not wipe the face with wet tissues instead of washing. pat dry and try not to exposse ur self to extrme sun fr 2 days. also do not wash the face for 5-6 hours after the facial.
all the best.
