If you are asking the question, then you have definately overstayed your welcome. A good host(ess), and good family and friends, will hardly ever tell you when you have overstayed your welcome until it becomes ugly. You need to leave before more tension is caused and things become difficult and possibly ruining a family relationship or friendship.

When they tell you for the umpteenth time to get a job, a life and a place of your own because you have invaded thier space and are sick of your face. That's what it took for my friend to realize it.

"You" would never know when you've overstayed your welcome.

It's the other people who would know; hopefully they'll inform you in a courteous way.
