A dentist cannot tell by looking at your teeth if you are pregnamt. But on the other hand pregnancy depletes the body of calcium which takes expectant moms running to the dentist due to a tooth ache and may require root canal.

I'm a dentist myself and NO, the dentist can't tell if the woman is pregnant even though we can suspect that she might be pregnant due to the changes in the gingiva but yet those signs are NOT dependable what so ever. We might also suspect that the patient has AIDS, Leukemia, Herpes . . etc.

No this is not true. One thing that does change in your mouth when you are pregnant is your saliva. This becomes acidic and can attack the enamel. Best to get into a habit of rinsing with water after eating and drinking anything to keep food acids away. Another thing you can use to reduce acid in the saliva is Toothmousse. I have done studies with this product on patients with acidic saliva and it has significantly reduced the acid. Toothmousse is safe to use during pregnacy.
