Hi! Most people wear their wedding rings on the left hand in North America.
However, I wear mine on my right. My husband is from Eastern Europe and asked that I follow their tradition, so I do. Turns out, my mom, who was married in Canada but similar ethnicity, had her ring put on her right hand, but later switched it to the left hand so she would "fit in". In our circle of friends here, many are from my husband's home country, and everyone wears their rings on the right hand, so I don't feel out of place.
So, do what you want --- I think it's a nice tradition to keep. Why be the same as everyone else?

I am married and I wear my wedding band on my left ring finger, I am not sure what other cultures do but I grew up with everyone wearing their rings on their left hand. When I decided I was ready to marry my husband I didn't study up on which hand to wear my ring. So do what you like and what you think is best for yourself.

That depends on your religious beliefs. I have heard of some who wear their wedding rings on the first finger of the left hand. So I think it's a decision you have to make for yourselves

DH & I wear ours on our right hand, even though we're from america. We had some personal reasons for that. Years later we moved to eastern Europe, and here they wear them on their right hand!
Many westerners here will wear a ring on each hand, just to cover all the bases.
Go with what you feel comfortable with, and if you have misunderstandings, wear a second one on the other hand. :)
