You gain weight by eating more calories than you burn. The opposite is true.
Consult a Dr. before beginning any exercise routine.
Rollerblade as much as you like, a little bit everyday. Do different exercises and stretch afterwards. Get professional massage once a week to help keep you active and healthy. Eat sensibly and don't worry about "losing weight". It will come off slowly but you have to make small changes and stick with them.
Walk, too. Walking is one of the best exercises and it is easy to do. You don't need anything other than comfortable shoes and clothing. Bring water. Listen to music or walk with a friend. A couple miles a day or more is good. Stretch afterwards, the whole body (all the major muscle groups). A massage therapist can show you how to stretch safely.
Drink plenty of water, it helps control your appetite. Most people confuse hunger with thirst and subsequently overeat. A half ounce per pound of body weight, per day is the current RDA. Drink it a little bit at a time verses all at once. Carry a bottle with you if you don't have access to it at work or play.
Eat slower and chew your food completely, it takes time for your hunger to go away. About twenty minutes or so.
Have fun and remember that "just do it" is a good motto.

Of course it will! If you do a few miles every other day you'll be good. Its cardio and will burn cals and increase your metabolism. Try doing some free weights on the non rollerblading days to increase results. Also going to 6 small meals a day (150-250 cals a meal) will increase metabolism and help you lose the weight. Good luck :)

It's and excellent source of exercise and burns about 500 plus calories in an hour. I would do it on a daily basis for an hour, or at least 5 times a week. Good luck to you.
