Okay, I have medium-long hair, that is wavy curly, thick and frizzy. I wear my hair curly(natural or w/ diffusier), straiten it, or I blow dry it. So my hair is damaged. What are some products that will help this? Not shampoo or conditioners. I am young so I have a low budget. And do you think you can name the price?

VO5 has a great spray for when straightening hair. It protects it from being damaged, being burnt and drying out. It also gives it a really healthy looking shine to your hair. You can get it from any vareity store for about $15.

First you must understand that once your hair leaves the scalp it is DEAD. Meaning it can no longer repair itself. Knowing that, you have a few options to make it more manageable till your hair restores it health as it grows.
Biosilk by Farouk is available in professional salons and is a hair polish with an oily texture. This seals the hair and conditions it smoothing the frizzies and adding shine. It is pricey, but a little goes a long way. A generic version is available at Sally Beauty Supply Stores.
Another option is a clear gloss treatment. Herbal Essences has a Clear Shine Gloss available in most discount stores and drug stores in the hair color isle. A clear gloss treat ment seals your cuticle (the outermost layer of the hair) and reduces the frizzies created by damage and adds shine without damaging your hair further or altering the color. And, it's a fairly inexpensive item.
If you want it to be healthier, you must treat it better! Use a heat protection product when you blow dry and flat iron. Condition your hair daily. Eat right and take an appropriate multivitamin. Trim your hair regularly to keep split ends at bay. All of these things will make your hair's new growth healthier.
Best of luck!

Well wash your hair in luke warm water, try not to use flat irons and blow dryers everyday, and if you do on the lower settings to help with the damage to your hair. Since you have thick hair I would reccommend getting the little V05 hot oil deep conditioning packets for your hair(can be found in most grocery store/drug store shampoo sections), its around $5 and will really help your hair. Also my friend used to use mayo every once in a while as conditioner, this site (if you scroll down) also reccommends it and has some other homemade conditioner recipes, you should look at the deep conditioner onesthat would probably cost you nothing since you might have this stuff at your house : http://styles101.homestead.com/nathairrec.html
You can always buy Suave shampoo and conditioner for dry/damaged hair, I know you have a tight budget but each bottle normally only runs around $2 and they work fairly well.

The best thing to do would be to make sure you eat healthy in the next few months, not use a hairdryer or straightener (the John-Frida anti frizz serum (about $6) and a hair oil called Biosilk (about $10-20, but it's really good) work really well to keep curls looking nice) and try to get the damaged hair trimmed off. Hair is just dead skin cells so it isn't possible to actually repair the hairs, just to prevent the new ones from getting damaged.
Biosilk smells amazing too. It's worth it.

I have that type of hair too. I am older now but I did a lot of damage by dying my hair too many times when I was younger and I cant bring myself to cut it all off now.
Anyhow, what I have found to work is Sunsilk. There are a few different types. I go for the one that eases Frizz and is for dry hair. It is in a green bottle. It costs around $3.67. You don't need a lot of it though. I use it on dry hair. If I use it on wet hair it dries looking greasy. So wait for dry hair or blow dry.
I just use my fingers to smooth over frizzy spots and then I style as usual.
The other thing is, I got my fist bit of this stuff as a FREE sample from WAL-MART.com. They give free samples on the website, you just fill in the details and they mail it to you. I hope they still offer it for you.

I have also had this problem and it is a heck of a problem. For me, Sun Silk Hydro Therapy (about 3-5 bucks depending on which you want. Theres like 3 different conditions) Anyways! The Hot Oil is another good thing to look for. Goes fast though! But, I know the oil or the stuff I used helped my friend so it may become trial and error. It may work for someone else, just not you. Kind of like eye shadow colors. Not all colors work for everyone. Good Luck!

Ok this is kinda strange but try ethnic hair care products. Their hair is typicaly corse and frizzy, so those products are geared toward that hair type. My friend uses one that starts w/ an O and it's in a coral colored tub, you can get it at drugstores and pry even wal mart. It's about 5-$10. Hint: don't plan anything major outings for that day b/c it will make your hair greasy, but just wash it the next day and your hair will be alot camler. Good luck.

I use finesse products and a shampoo by herbal esscence called "none of your frizzness" that reduces frizz and moisturizes. I have similar hair. Also biosilk as a smoother. The less heat you use the better. Also (sounds gross-works good) let your hair get good and greasy once in a while. The natural oils from your scalp are the best treatment ever.

Tresseme has a great heat tamer that protects your hair from heat styling and it's only like 3 or 4 dollars and a bottle will last a good 2 months.

bedhead has a great shampoo called control freak..it is really really good..it helped tame my frizzy hair that I would get..also a gloss or a shine spray before you straighten would make it easier to straighten and make it shiner and healthier looking..you might consider doing a deep conditioning treatment once a week for a month and see how that goes..you can get some real good ones at Sally's and they are real reasonable prices. always remember to condition that helps out sooo much. hope this helps
