i am wondering what you christians out there believe about the longed for revival of the power of the Holy Spirit...you kno, that anointing the apostles carried with them..my true question is, where is it...

OHH.. and if you dont believe in all that, please, save my time and yours and dont respond rudely or sarcastically, you're only making a fool of yourself...however, if you have something insightful to say, by all means, share..

A great question! In these times, the blind see, the dead are being raised, the deaf hear, aids is being cleansed and on and on. BUT, you have to associate yourself with a Bible believing Holy Spirit filled body of believers where faith is raising the roof.

People criticize Benny Hinn, but I HAVE PERSONALLY witnessed everyone of those things and more that I mentioned except for the dead being raised in his meetings. His ministry is just one though. If you really want to get plugged into "Power," I suggest hooking up with Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Billye Brim Ministries, Creflo Dollar Ministries, and Jesse Duplantis Ministries.

Just the other day in one of our services, I saw with my own eyes a lady raised out of her wheel chair who has not walked in 8 years. She was so happy she ran and jumped. Blind people and deaf people were healed. God is very much alive and at work today, so believe it! PEACE!!!

To Simon: Your a non-believing case of pathetic sadness to say such things. May God have mercy on you. PEACE!!!

The Holy Spirit is God's active force by which He made his presence known, to help, encourage and at times discipline
his followers. Remember that at that time, the apostles had no bibles to turn to for guidance, so it was thru the help of the Holy Spirit that they were able to teach, preach and spread the good news of the kingdom of God, or the gospels. The experiences of the Disciples, the commandments God gave them to follow and make known to would be followers, the miracles they performed in the name of Jehovah through the Holy Spirit are now documented in the Bible for all with a willing heart to read and learn from.

The Holy Ghost is still manifesting itself in the lives of Christians today. People are still experiencing the infilling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. People are still recieving devine healing in the name of Christ. The deaf hear, the mute speak, and the blind see again... The dead are raised up.

The question is... Why do the mainline churches side with cessationist doctrine when there is evidence that God hasn't ceased working ?

The Chineese church is seeing people raised from the dead, they memorize the N.T. They cast out spirits. But I have seen that happen at Youth retreats here at my church. I have heard about poor spanish people getting teeth put spiritually/miraculously in their mouth, people still being healed of cancer and it being varified because of the technology of the after and before xrays of the cancer being there and now it gone. Poof. I have seen a guy healed of crossed eyes, before my eyes. I think it still goes on, its just not reported, because Christianity isn't as popular anymore. Recently on a missions trip to romania, I saw a youth fall from a two story building and hit his head like a ping pong ball from one side of the wall to the next until he landed on the ground, and all he ended up woth was a scratch and a headack. he baffled the doctors, but to us it was a miracle.

God's Word is now complete in the Holy Bible - we have the knowledge written for all to read - this is why the Holy Spirit does not act the same way as He did in Bible times - When we are Baptized into Christ - we do receive the Holy Spirit - but not in the same way as before.

Good Question.

I believe the holy spirit pulled back, I hate hearing Over in china someone was raised from the dead, over there there probably saying over in Canada someone is being raised from the dead, speaking in tongues has seriously decreased In the Pentecostal church anyway. I've seen way to may false Prophets. everyone is hearing the voice of God in there life's, I think there imaging it. Ive been seeking his face and listened for his voice for 5 yrs, all I get most of the time is foolishness, But he has spoken to me audible. I believe he's not working much cusss we are turning from the bible and following our own ways, making the bible with us instead of him, when I grew up in the Pentecostal church I always heard speaking in tongues, now its like very little. obviously U think the same way, I don't see the power of the holy spirit anymore, just people jumping around shouting and praising God. running around screaming, falling down lain in spirit(but need someone to catch them or they will get hurt) just me I think we all fake it cus we want him SO bad to be with us, we become religious.

The apostle were given special powers to heal the sick and raise the dead. They did not have the Word of God, the Bible, in those days. Those people were shown the power of God in practise, we see the power of God through His Word. The Holy Spirit is still in the world today and working in the lives of believers to strenghten their faith and in the lives of non believers to convict them of sin, so that they turn to the Savior, Jesus. He who gives the free gift of salvation.

It is everywhere, as it was always been......but those not directly chosen by Yeshua have to do as he did, following His footsteps, and almost no-one seems really interested in what the seven stages of his footsteps are, even though they are there for all to see in the gospels.
