Just go stand at the bar next to him when he orders a drink. If he's sitting/standing at the bar, linger around. When he looks at you, smile and look away. Do that until he starts talking to you. If that doesn't work, he's either spoken for or a pussy. Either way, time to look for another guy.
At least that's what chicks do to pick me up.
