Ive recently been smoking marajuana on a daily basis .Usually in the evening just to relax myself after a stressfull day of work. But i have noticed that when going to sleep ive been really short of breath and it lasts for like an hour before i can finally go to sleep ,and then i usually wake up in the middle of the night in sweats with a very dry mouth and throat .Im just curious as to know if these attacks are cause from the marajuana.

I would not think so because, a lot of people use marijuana for different reasons. However, if you are very depress then yeah, you can cause yourself to have an Anxiety Attack.
The best thing to do...is to go and get help and just stop. If you stop you probably wont feel anxiety attacks anymore but if you don't, then this is whats going to happen to you....

Anxiety and worry are a normal part of life. In difficult or threatening situations, it drives you to action, and helps you cope. However, when the anxiety gets so intense that normal life is not possible anymore, you might be suffering an anxiety disorder.

Excessive anxiety is a real, medical illness, which disrupts people's lives. Luckily there are effective ways of treating this disorder.

Some people require only a few months of treatment, while others may need a year or more. Your physician may prescribe a combination of psychotherapy and medication. Family and friends play an important role in supporting somebody with an anxiety disorder. Treatment of anxiety disorders can include relatives and/or friends.

I hope that I help!!!

As a heavy smoker of the herb for over 20 years, I have to say that yes, pot does increase blood pressure if not anxiety levels. Once in a while I get a bit paranoid when smoking, but I think it has a lot to do with legal circumstances. By paranoid, I mean increased anxiety and sleeplessness.

As for abreactions, I knew one person that needed to call 911 when smoking because of anxiety attacks. Personally, I think much of the anxiety stems from it's inherent illegalness. I mean, just having it around means you can be arrested for a felony and thrown into prison. If there was no legal repercussions for smoking, then the paranoia should subside, no?

But still, some people do abreact to the herb. Allergic reactions aren't unheard of.

Marijuana, or marihuana, isn't as benign as many would claim. Sure there are numerous medicinal qualities ascribed to the herb, but there are also some known side effects, such as paranoia and a possible link to schitzoprhenia that's being pandered these days.

Whatever the case, the hundreds of millions of people who smoked pot without adverse reactions should be some kind of testiment as to the alleged safeness of the drug.

YES i had the worst anxiety attack the one time i tried it. It gives you a feeling of no control which triggers anxiety. People with anxiety need the feeling of being in control of themselves, if not they will go into an attack. Ugh, thought it would help me but oh y god i will never do it again. I was ont he floor crying wiating for it to end

Maybe - but there might be something IN the pot that is causing the problem. However, if you have been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia you should NEVER smoke pot - it can make things MUCH worse - like an anxiety attack. Try stopping and see what happens.

Sure, but it's just a phase. Probably too strong a batch for you. Stay with it, you'll be able to use it to relax and you won't get the weird effects anymore, just a nice, pleasant, relaxing euphoria. Even better, you won't have to barf your brains out because you drank too much alcohol.
