I already know the answer, but I want to hear from all of you: if you run into someone you have not seen in a while and they say "let's keep in touch" would you contact them? Here is the catch: they already have your info, but still they don't bother to contact you after they make that statement.

It depends on the person and yourself. If you really think that you want to keep in touch with the person, then contact the person.

The statement, "let's keep in touch" seems to be the typical thing you say to a person you haven't seen in a while. Sometimes people mean it, sometimes they don't. You just have to take the risk and figure out what's on this person's mind. The other person may just be shy about approaching you.

No one said that once you kept in touch that you had to keep in touch with them forever.
