My hair is naturally wavy and I flat iron it. I use a professional iron and it gets pretty straight. Then by early in the day my hair has lost its straightness and the ends will flip out and it doesn't remain staright. Any advice?

There's a Aveda product for straightening your hair called Hang Straight.... it's the ONLY product I've ever found that keeps my hair straight all day long. (it blocks humidy)

I also use a flat iron, and have tried a few, but the Farouk Chi DEFINATELY works the best for my hair since it takes the humidity out. My hair is also naturally wavy but even on rainy days, my hair stays stick straight with the Chi. It's pretty expensive but it's definately worth it. You may be able to find a better deal on it online instead of in the stores.

Your best option is a styling product that will protect from damage as you flat iron and seal your hair to protect from the humidity. Look for a product that includes silicone in the ingredients. Silicone forms a protective barrier over the hair that resists humidity. I like Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum myself.

Also, ask your salon pro! They know your hair the best and can recommend a product specifically suited to your individual hair type.

Best of luck!

I have the same problem, except my hair is super curly.. I bought a flat iron called "CHI" and it's the best! It was expensive about $120.00 but it was worth the money... You use this flat iron and when flat ironing your hair you only flat iron small sections at a time.. It will look sleek and stylish! and you will love it!

You need Redken Hot Sets thermal setting mist. I use it for my swoopy bangs and for the pieces of hair I straighten around my face. It works like no other! Its specifically for curling iron and straight iron use. It holds my hair straight and in place all day long.

I have naturally streight hair but ive herd from family and some friends that after you flat iron i use a decent amount of gel then brush it out once or twice (if you don't like gel (like me)just use hairspray insted)
Hope this helps!!! :D

why have the everyday stress of ironing your hair when you can have it rebonded...i used to have uber curly hair...microphone style like the ones by the Jackson 5 during the 80s...and i had the same problem as yours..then a friend/hair stylist of mine offered me to have it rebonded...at first i hesitated to do the job because im not really fond of salons...she bugged me about a year for it and then i gave in...now im happy she bugged me because it like a naturally straight hair...i dont have to wake up earlier than planned because i dont have to iron it...and the best of it all is that its wash and wear as you go... meaning, after washing u can air dry it with a fan or warm dryer...and ur ready to go.

for best results, use citre shine serum to damped hair and dry with warm air dryer...and you'll see the results after..its shining and straight...and people will loved it...hehehe thats why i love my hair now...

the cons of rebonding? be ready to sit in the salon around 6hours...if your stylist is a friend or friendly, he/she will give u time to rest, eat. stretch during the process...another thing, its quite expensive...but nowadays there are some salons that offer discounts...
