What are the best design schools in NY city? I'd like to find one that teaches furniture as well as interior design, and offers a one year non-degree course.

I'm sorry. I have googled new york design schools and got 100,000+ hits. The most popular homepages all purport to be amongst the best in the state/country.

I know nothing about design, and was seeking advice from someone who does. If just googling had helped, I wouldn't have asked.
