No child or teenager should be taking any drugs. If you can't sleep, avoid coffee, caffeine, processed sugars and fats, get plenty of exercise and if necessary, take 2 herbals capsules of Valerian

drs. are bad about prescribing the newest meds. like ambien cr.they tend to not tell you whether it's the best choice, ambien is known world wide for its addictiveness and crazy actions. it puts your body to sleep but not your brain. i did research before i asked for something and i'm glad i did. ask for lunesta. the only complaint i have heard of is a bad taste. otherwise no hang over no rubber legs walking to bed,and i' do just fine when i run out. it just lets your mind rest once youve hit the pillow. i cant even tell i took it untill the next day when i wake up all pirky and ready to go. unlike before where i slept half in and half out of sleep for the whole day after i finally fell asleep! i realized that i had had a sleeping disorder for a long time after the peaceful sleep i got from taking lunesta. no nightmares either. good luck

This is a very strong and addicting drug....ambien works fast and can be a problem for a young teenager........if the meds were given as help for sleep than you need to watch how much is taken and no refills.....I would question this doctor if he does not see your teen before getting more meds and I disagree giving another script.......please watch this teen and count those pills....bless you my friend luv kara

am amazed you are awake long enough to know what you are taking. Also how the phuck does a kid get PT SD or is that going to be the "new" word for drugging the little darlings. You do not have an option but by your list of "issues" that you are sure you have then you need something or is it just THOSE ones you do not want to take, edit sweetie you are not the 1st and will not be the last [sadly] it is what you CHOSE to do with the est of your life that matters...........and sucking down that amount of medication is not doing you any good other than numbing shyt..............

I would think not. It has been proven that teenagers have restless sleep and sleep more often because of the hormonal changes. No sense getting them hooked on sleeping pills when it will pass. We all went thru some form of sleep difficulties.

interesting. if the doctor recommended it & prescribed it for reasons between THIS person and the DOCTOR, then I guess so. But they should take it as little as possible. if you suspect it's being abused or disagreeing with this person in some way, talk to them and see what happens. if this person over-reacts, then something's wrong.
