Teal, you can change the colors around these days, so do one of each. Tell your dr which color you want when he changes the wire.

Get whatever color you want. The color comes from the little bands that hold the arch wire to the brackets and they can be changed every month. You are not stuck with any color scheme once you choose it.
Start with your school colors if you don't have any other ideas or match up with the closest holiday colors.
Check this out! http://www.wemakemstr8.com/colors/ I don't know if your orthodontist has all these colors, but at least now you know what is out there.

Teal or light blue. I never liked lavender. I got green one time and my teeth looked yellow - yuck!

OMG, braces come in designer colors now????!!!! ROFL...
Do they have tiger stripes? Now, I'd get them just for that!
Get a color that goes with what you wear most. If you wear a lot of lavender, go with that. How pretty, would love to see them.

None of those, you moron.
Why would you want to attract attention with hideous, flashy colors?
Get clear/white.
