What are some good ways to prove to my parents im mature?

as the title says what are some good ways to prove to my parents im mature, im 16 years old, and they wont let me have a car, nor, my lisence, they say i am unmature.....they never give me any chances to prove my maturity, so when i tell them this they call me a smart ***, and thats why im not mature, please give me some help..im tired of being a bum, i want a car so i can get a job...

If you are just 16 years old and you want to prove to your parents that you are not a bum and you want to get a job.....there are other ways to find a job without a car. If they say that you are immature to have a car, then you should first show them that you can be responsible by maybe getting yourself a bike or taking the bus to go out and look for a car. Get a job somewhere close to home. You might be able to just walk to the job!

When the time comes when you have a job, you need to come home, do homework, do chores around the house, clean room, take out trash, or load the dishwasher, and head to work. If they don't see that you are responsible at home, then that tells them that you are not ready for something even bigger like a car. So when you do all those things and then go to work each day, save some money too, then they will see how responsible you are and might consider in getting you a car.

Just keep up your grades and the other stuff. Just because you can do all the other stuff, it doesn't mean that you are truly ready to drive. Because driving takes more responsibility and more control of the wheel. You might want to get a permit first, drive for about 1 good year, then you might be ready. But do obey your parents. (smile)

Also, don't let words from your parents stop you from being mature. What they need to do is help you and guide you so that way you can be mature as you grow up. Don't let your feelings get hurt if they don't see you striving for maturity, only your parents know you better than most folks. Just take your time in growing up, don't be in such a hurry just because all your buddies have a car!

Instead of whining about what you can't do because they think that you are immature---DO THE MATURE THING and do well in school, join some after school activities that force them to drive you around, get a job close to home, ask for chores that you can do at home for pay. There's a lot you can do to prove that you are worthy of their trust. I think that's what this boils down to. For some reason they don't trust you out on your own. It could be that they don't trust society. Whatever it is, you have to work it out. Start by being the best student and son that you can be. Don't ask about the car or the job anymore and certainly don't ask what you can do to prove that you are mature. As soon as you ask their thinking, "Well, isn't that mature..."

Try to get a job somehow close to where you live, even if you have to ride your bike. I got a job when I was 13 working at a pool. I would ride my bike there, walk ride, what ever you got to do; get a part time job and stay working, don't quit.

They will see that you are responsible when your actions show that your are responsible. I'm sorry that they call you a smart*** that's not nice. Parents, including myself, I have four kids can say stupid things too,, you know, but the worst part is some parents don't know how hurtful they can be and they affect people for a life-time.

Anyway, get some type of job, even if it's a paper route. You got to show people by your actions, not your words. You can do it, start searching or networking with your friends or newspaper find out who is hiring. Good luck, and you don't sound like a smart*** to me, to me you sound like a young person that is trying to find them self, and it's not an easy time for you, but you can do it. PEACE.

You only need to budget your social time with your friends so that you are getting adequate study time. Make sure when you study you cover all areas and choose which study methods work best for you.

Tell your parents that "I covered all areas for study, I'd like to go hangout for a while." Do this for about 6 months and don't mention a car or a job. Then when summer rolls around, tell them you want a summer job. Try that.

Your young.....you want to spread some wings and fly.....that is cool. Just remember, you need to allow yourself time to grow. It's doesn't happen overnight.......and don't marry until your 28 or 30...or better yet, don't marry until your sure you can support a home.

Get a job, without a car and get good grades. Clean your room and help around the house without being asked. This will definitely show you are maturing.

Work really hard on your schoolwork, get your chores done, be polite, etc. If you act responsible it'll get you respect. You can also say that "you feel you ought to contribute more to the upkeep of the household" or something like that if you want them to let you get a job. Good luck! :)

u r considered lucky that ur parents care n love u too much.they got reasons to worry about u cos u r only 16,u r still young,so they need to guild u up to the proper channel as expected by them.if u really want to prove them u r matured,u should do everything independantly but still u've to consult them 4 respect.be patient to wait 4 2-3 years,they w'd be okay then,hopefully!

Well You are obviously still in school, get good grades, and keep them good, do your chores and what they ask, and don't make them ask twice, Find a job, and keep that job, don't goof off because a freind is around, put your self and your wants and needs (in this case) before playing video games, and runnin around town with freinds.

get a job first before you get your car.. that will prove to your parents that you're starting to have a goal in life and that you're starting to be mature and responsible..
