The globe before the flood of Noah's day was like a greenhouse, all one temperature. There were no polar caps, no rain.no snow and no direct rays from the sun. There was a water canopy above the expanse and it made the earth like a greenhouse. The flood caused the ice age in the polar regions.
God's purpose was to have the earth a global paradise, so maybe the the globe is going back to it original purpose. Like I said MAYBE..........just a thought

Global warming has started, is ongoing and will continue to happen until man learns to protect and appreciate more his environment. I don't believe there is a religion out there that teaches their followers not to believe in it happening except perhaps those who profits from it. In fact, not only religious but common people should be concerned about what's going on. We all breathe the same air, drink the same water and call this planet earth our home. Have you seen fish in an aquarium that has not been cleaned for a long time, polluted with waste matter and the water depleted of oxygen? Unless something is done, the fish will die . Man is doomed to the same fate if nothing is done to prevent it.

It is not really a religious issue. i don't beleive that the whole world will heat up like some beleive. my reasons for not accepting global warming at this point in my life is more about experience in life.

Let me explain growing up we had regular winters and summers, in the 1950's and 1960's But during the 1970's we had a cooling down period world wide similar to the warming trend we are now experiencing. Scientists and especially the doomsday prophjet of the day said we were going into another Ice Age and within 30 years this planet would be nothing but ice.

Each year got worse and worse, but it eventually leveled out and got back to normal. I think the earth just periodiccly heats up and cools down, and the reason for my beleif is I have heard scientists say this. That is why I don't beleive in global warmin that is that the earth will heat up and we will be destroyed.

I may be wrong, but that is my take on it.

I'm in New England right now, and we're having a mild winter, and everybody's saying, "look it's global warming."
But then I see it snowing in New Mexico, and I see blizzards going through Colorado, and I'm wondering, is that really what it is?
The big problem I have with global warming is simply that it remains a liberal issue. The only people who talk about it are Al Gore, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, and folks like that. I have a hard time believing anything they say.
If more people who are *seriously* in the middle started believing in it, then I might look into it.
As to your question, about whether or not the Bible speaks against it, the answer is no. I'm not saying it's fake. I'm just saying I'm not convinced.

I don't know any Christians that claim global warming doesn't exist. Infact, most of the Christians I know think that the Earth is a gift from God, meant to be protected and taken care of...

HOWEVER, I don't really know any of those crazy-neo con-Pat Robertson types, either... ::shudder::

I'm Christian, and I believe in global warming... been feeling it this winter; no snow up here! As a Christian, I feel the duty to care for the planet God created for us, so I try yo save electricity. :)

There's a verse in Revelation that talks about an angle pouring a flask on the sun, causing it to scorch a fifth (or was it a third) of all man kind.

Just the religion of Oil Tycoons. Rich oil tycoons are too cheap to fix the dang sputtering emissions from their oil refineries, so they just made up an excuse that global warming is not real.

No, the Bible does not say anything against global warming. In fact it might support it.
