I knew that tonight was his night to watch the BCS bowl game with his buddies, but I wanted to remind him to call me after his plane landed tomorrow. I waited until halftime and everything so I wouldn't bother him. After he picked up I was like "Is this halftime? I just wanted to make sure." He was REALLY curt and said "Yeah, but the guys are over...!" (As IF I wanted to disturb his quality time)... and so then I kind of mumbled "Yeah, I know, just wanted to tell you to call me after you got there tomorrow. Bye."

Was his reaction even rational? I just feel kinda bad since I was trying to be considerate calling him during half, and caring about him getting to his destination safely...

I don't think that you were being unreasonable. You don't know what was going on in the room at the time of your call, though--maybe the guys were giving him crap about you calling or something. In any event, I wouldn't stress about it too much; he'll be over it by tommorow, and you should be, too.

Probably you should have just waited for him to call you at the scheduled time (??tomorrow). Find some stuff to keep yourself busy. You'll be more attractive to your partners and less available to them. And let them have their bowl games and whatnot. Even if he "forgot" to call you at your scheduled time (??tomorrow), the world isn't going to come to an end. Learn to be comfortable between the times you don't speak. A lot of that is trust in your partner, and feeling secure about the relationship and your part in it.

we all need time with our friends and that means we don't want our significant others calling us while we are having that friend time. Yes his reaction was was rational. You are being clingy. You should feel bad he was having time with the guys. I hate it when my husband calls me while I'm hanging with my girl friends. It gets annoying. I don't bug him when he's having a guy's night out unless absolutely necessary, I'm talking my car broke down and I need a ride not just to say Hi at half time.

A night out with the guys MEANS a night out with the guys. Nothing f**ks it up more than having your chick calling you in the middle of the fun. It implies you think he's somewhere else with another chick halftime or not.

Seein it was half time and the call was quite short he shouldnt have gotten mad, i understand that guys like to have their 'male time' with mates and all but it was only a 2 sec convo so no he did not react rationally. but prob nothin to worry bout too much, just try and not think about it too much.
