It's for an acquaintance I see pretty much everyday I just haven't gotten a chance to give it to her but she doesn't expect it.

It's never too late to give a birthday gift. I've gotten a birthday gift a whloe year late. But you don't really care it being late because it is a gift! Just give her the gift the first chance you get and explain what happened. I'm sure she will understand.

How about giving it to her as a "I just thought I'd let you know you're a cool person" gift? that way, it's not even seen as a late birthday gift.... It will be even more special that way as well! Just think, how would you feel if someone you knew came up to you and just handed you a gift out of nowhere? Makes you feel pretty good, huh? Appreciated, even!
so, I say give it to her, just not with the "happy late birthday" attachments!
