Just wondering if it only matters if your 25 when you file, not age you were in 2006.

Your age on December 31, 2006 is what counts. No EIC this year.

You have to be 25 by the end of 2006 because that is the current tax year that we are filing for. Next year, my friend.

No, if you were 24 at the end of 2006, you are not eligible unless you have a qualifying child. It's the age at the end of the tax year, not when you file, that counts.
