Spontaneity always works for me. I'm a humorous fellow so I just can't walk up to a girl and buy her a drink. How about something like "Tell ya what, if you kiss me, I'll let you buy me a drink." It's corny and maybe a bit forward, but given the right circumstances it usually works. Especially if I follow it up with, "What an *** hole, that guy over there told me it would work, now I feel so stupid! So can I still buy you a drink and swap meaningless witty sexual banter with you for a while?"

i always like a line that makes me laugh but doesn't make me think that he's just trying to get in my pants(when in a bar though...) just keep it funny but not to cheesy
