Yes you can get one. Don't get one that is mailed to you or advertised at a stand on campus. You ay for convenience with one. Make sure you know your limit, late fees, interest rates and all of that stuff. Otherewise they will rip you off. If you have money in the bank, a debit card is best, so you don't ahve to worry about making monthly payents.

you can cet credit on ur own name on the day of your 18th birthday.

All credit companies are gud ( they give u credit) u have to be gud in knowing how to pay minimum interest to these companies.

Virgin is the lowest rate credit card that i know of.

always try to keep ur purchases to lowest ( as much as u can pay off in one month without difficulty). This way u can get the benefit of the 55 - 62 days interest free period and still not pay any interest on all ur purchases.

Tip of the year...
Never let your credit limit reach to its fullest.
Coz once it does.. you will have to pay the maximum interest on the full ampunt even though if you pay part of it off.

You can apply for credit card at 18. If I'm not mistaken you have no credit history, so it would be resonable to apply for secured credit card.
