handing out pamplets and such you hardly ever see that out of an episcopalian, catholic, protestant. And why do they feel the need to come up your door during dinner and introduce themselves and go into why their church is the place for you

Because they really love the faithless and suffering people, especially in these days of great challenge of wars, calamities, diseases...They are really kind to spend their time, money and energy... to remind us about the love and justice of the One True God, despite all sorts of misunderstandings, discriminations and persecutions.

Evangelicals are usually the same as protestants.
I've never had an evanglical come to my door. That is usually Mormons or Jehovah Witnesses.
Also, from their point of view, they believe that they are doing it out of love.

Extreme psychological insecurity, I think. It's much easier to commit yourself heart and soul to an ever-watchful, all-powerful patriarchal father figure (God) than it is to actually be reasonable about him; if the Evangelists ever showed the slightest bit of doubt, they'd be done for, because Christianity doesn't stand up to rational scrutiny for even a second. If they slowed down enough to actually think about it, they'd be done for.
As such, it is absolutely necessary for their own psychological well-being that they exagerrate an air of self-assuredness at all times.

I think your referring to the Mormons or the Jehovah winesses. Maybe you should be more concerned with the Muslims because they will kill both the Christian and Athiest if you don't become a Muslim.
