what is a soundcheck?
i know it's when they test the mics and such, but what does it entail?
Is it a mini-perfomance? what should I expect?
will it be loud??

yes, it is basically a mini-performance, to check the actual sound in concert conditions. Yes, it will be as loud as the concert itself.

i am not sure but i would go and be prepared for the sound of a concert but I believe it is like in a studio and they test the sound to see how it sounds make sure it sounds good, make sure everything will be in working order. So I would prepare for loud but it might not be and then you can let us who have never been to one know.

It shouldn't be loud, it's not a performance---it is really to check the volume, and proper mhz of sound.
