Actually there is a 1500 square mile area in the middle east, right through the heart of Iraq where most theologians and most biblical evidence seems to show where the Garden of Eden once was. It is amazing to note that this is the same area that is foretold to encompass the New Jerusalem during Christs 1000 year reign on this earth. Before the final judgement. It all began there and will end there. Isn't God wonderful!!

The Ark was a floating box that didn't sail or travel. AT the time of the Flood, the population was still living very near Eden, as generations came about slowly with over 100 years between each. So it's not going to be too far from Mount Sinai.

The original site of the garden of Eden is conjectural. The principal means of identifying its geographic location is the Bible’s description of the river “issuing out of Eden,” which thereafter divided into four “heads,” producing the rivers named as the Euphrates, Hiddekel, Pishon, and Gihon. (Ge 2:10-14) The Euphrates (Heb., Perath′) is well known, and “Hiddekel” is the name used for the Tigris in ancient inscriptions. (Compare also Da 10:4.) The other two rivers, the Pishon and the Gihon, however, are unidentified.

The story of the garden of Eden is set in the well-watered valleys of ancient Mesopotamia. Between the two rivers of the Tigris and the Euphrates. It covers Iraq and eastern Syria.
