I went from not being able to lift 30 pounds to lifting over 250 pounds... in 2 years.

But that's pretty long for that. Anyways, I never worked out during that time either. all I did was get a job at a warehouse lifting TVs everyday and moving refrigerators and large appliances as well.

What happened next? I'm stronger than most other people who I work with now that used to make fun of me... those b*tches

I'm not sure what you mean by strong. There is lots of kinds of being strong. If you mean strong in your body you must eat right and exercise. If you mean strong in your resolve to do something right or give up something bad for you that takes discipline. Either way don't give up on yourself just keep trying, most of our goals take time.

Lift weights. Depending on your age and any medical conditions, the best way to get strength is to list heavy weights (with proper form of course) of around 4-6 reps.

But check with a doctor though or a personal trainer to see if that kind of lifting is safe for you.

PS: Doing lighter weights and higher reps (12-20 range) will not make you stronger as much as working on endurance.

This is what I do and I've seen a trmendous difference. 100 situps in morning and night. 50 pushups everymorning and night. I'm getting a chin up bar so I'm gonna do as many chip ups as I can do before I drop dead. Morning and night. BE determined.

Mentally strong, you have to build a wall stone by stone. It takes time to get it up, but once it's up don't take the wall down ever!

By lifting weights. Start with smaller ones and work yourself up until you can lift a lot.

Strength exercises. Many reps of weights, push ups, pull ups, bicept curls, tricept exercises. Just make sure you stretch first so you won't pull any muscles.
